£15,500 PLUS a £10,000 Minibus raised! The aim for this day was to raise enough money to cover the yearly costs of running the Stupini kids homework club in Stupini, Brasov (city), Romania (Staff x3, rent, bus fares, food). The day in the end raisd a staggering £15,500 plus a £10,000 mini bus donataed by RSA. A huge thankyou to everyone who took part, the sponsors including Bedford Insurance our title sponsor, also RSA our minibus sponsor, Mannings Heath GC and the staff for all their support, to the many volunteers from Kings Church Horsham, to the prize & raffle sponsors.

Educating kids out of poverty is the purpose of the Stupini kids charity, this home work club gives a secure place for kids to create friendships, have fun, do their homework with teachers at hand to help, enjoy a nutritious meal and progress through school. Without this homework support it makes it increasingly difficult to progress into the following year of school so eventually many kids give up school and can easily end up heading down a far from glamorous road.

Started in 2001 it is clear this club works with kids now young people qualifying through university and gaining jobs enabling them to support themselves, their families and inspiring others to do the same. In May this year I had the priviledge to spend 5 days seeing where the funds raised would be utilised. I can only say I feel incredibly lucky to have the life I and my family have and would like to through a small gesture of a golf day make a difference to some amazing and inspiring kids in Romania.
